Chair massage at home or your office

The chair massage is a 20-minute treatment that takes place in a seated position on an ergonomic chair.

Chair massage is not a technique in itself, it is rather a chair adaptation of techniques usually performed on a massage table.

Carried out at home, or at your hotel, or workplace, chair massage improves well-being, reduces the effects of stress or tension, pain and discomfort, particularly in the neck, back and arms.

It prevents injuries due to repetitive movements or work postures by relieving musculo-articular pain and improving joint mobility.

20 minutes is enough to provide relaxation and a boost of energy.

For the elderly, those with reduced mobility or pregnant women, seated massage can be a more comfortable way to receive a massage.

Process (massage only for women)
As with any massage, the chair massage begins with a questionnaire to assess the client's state of health and check the absence of contraindications. Depending on the technique and the client's needs, the massage will cover the following body segments: the upper and lower back, neck, head and arms.

Techniques during massage: maneuver routine consisting of effleurage, treading, kneading, friction, percussion, drainage, vibration, shaking and joint work, and stretching.

Contraindications
Healthy people can receive a chair massage without risk. Likewise, this type of treatment may be more appropriate than table massage for people with physical limitations. However, the therapist will refrain from massaging a client in the presence of fever, skin disease, cardiac or circulatory disorders or following recent surgery. The amma on chair is also not recommended for pregnant women (except after the 1st trimester).
