Sports massage and relaxing massage

Therapist : Christelle

The sports massage is a therapeutic technique for athletes. This massage is unique in that it aims to release specific tensions, ideal after a day of skiing or hiking in the mountains !

This massage is performed in depth and includes a range of maneuvers (adapted to your needs)

Benefits
Sports massage is naturally for sportsmen and women, but not only for professional athletes ; it will help them to practice a physical activity on a regular basis. Used as much in preparation for training as for recovery, the sports massage is the ideal ally to pamper the body to which we ask a lot. It aims to preserve the mobility and flexibility of the joints as well as to relieve musculo-articular pain related to training.

Before exercise, massage prepares the muscles to perform while preventing injury. After exercise, it prevents soreness and stretches the muscles, allowing the body to relax and recover. The massage can also be practiced during an activity or a competition when the athlete takes a break to act on cramps or aches resulting from the effort and muscle fatigue.

Procedure
The sports massage is performed on a massage table with an oil that may contain ingredients with a muscular effect. Before the treatment begins, Christelle fills out a health questionnaire to evaluate your physical condition and to find out what you expect from the massage.

You are then invited to lie down under a sheet.  Christelle has selected invigorating and deep maneuvers according to your needs.

30 minutes are given over to sports massage maneuvers, then the other 30 minutes you receive a relaxing massage (maneuvers : more relaxation/relaxation).

In total, the treatment lasts one hour and ends with advice on flexibility and muscle strengthening exercises.

Contraindications :
The contraindications to sports massage remain the same as for most techniques: fever, infection, wounds or skin problems and a history of heart problems.
