PEMF Therapy
(Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy)
PEMF therapy relies on the application of pulsed electromagnetic fields to penetrate the body and stimulate cellular activity.
These fields can help restore normal cell function by promoting blood circulation, tissue repair, and reducing pain and inflammation.
Pulsed electromagnetic fields interact with the body's cells, including altering cell membrane potential, increasing ATP (cellular energy source) production, and improving blood flow and tissue oxygenation.
It is used to treat a variety of conditions, including :
• Chronic fatigue, circulatory disorders
• Muscle pain, tension
• Recovery after exertion or injury
• Immune support
• Improved sleep and stress

A BEMER session is simple, relaxing, and painless. It generally lasts 8 minutes, depending on the desired goal (general well-being, recovery, or support for a specific condition).
Typical procedure :
1. Comfortable installation
You lie fully clothed and comfortably installed on the BEMER mat. No direct skin contact is necessary.
2. Personalized program
The program is tailored to your needs (recovery, pain, stress, circulatory problems, etc.). Targeted accessories (such as the localized applicator or the Spot) can be used in addition.
3. Quiet and relaxing session
The BEMER emits a very weak electromagnetic signal, which is not felt by the body, but which has a deep effect on microcirculation. You can simply close your eyes and relax.
4. Effects felt gradually
After the session, you often feel a sense of calm, gentle energy, or lightness. The effects intensify with regularity.
To optimize your massage, I recommend a BEMER session beforehand to promote relaxation, stimulate circulation, and prepare the body to receive the deep treatment.
Price : CHF 10 supplement to the price of the massage.
Contraindications to PEMF therapy :
- People with active medical implants (e.g., drug pumps, pacemakers)
- Recipients of organ transplants, allogeneic cell transplants, bone marrow transplants, or stem cell transplants in combination with immunosuppressive therapy (= intentional suppression of the immune system).
Medical Information Regarding PEMF Therapy
In the presence of the following circumstances or conditions, the treating physician/specialist must provide consent before initiating PEMF therapy :
- Fever of unknown origin
- Infectious diseases
- Severe cardiac arrhythmias
- Severe psychoses
- Seizure disorders (e.g., epilepsy)
- Prolonged use of β-receptor antagonists
- High-dose corticosteroid use
- Prolonged use of anticoagulants (coumarin derivatives)
- Continuous use of prescription medication
- Pregnancy
- Cancer
General Recommendations
Patients on ongoing medication (anticoagulants or blood thinning medications) must inform their treating physician of the BEMER therapy they intend to undergo so that the medication doses can be adjusted accordingly.
